Lizzo has decided to change the lyrics in "Grrrls" the latest single from her forthcoming LP Special after receiving criticism for using ableist language. The song's original lyrics, "Agree my bag, bitch, hold my bag / Exercise you see this shit? I'ma spaz," have been changed to "Practise you see this shit? Agree me back." In a statement posted to Twitter, Lizzo said:
Lizzo shared "Grrrls" last month; the vocal was produced by Benny Blanco, Blake Slatkin, Ilya, Max Martin, and Pop Wansel. Special is out due out July fifteen.
